Criss Angel Orange, Lemon and Egg Trick

Yet another fantastic great trick by the very best Criss Angel. You will see how Criss “embed” an egg inside an orange and then a lemon inside the orange.

Well, great trick indeed but as far as I can say, the orange was prepped before hand (common sense). As for the rest of the trick, it involves sleight of hand and misdirection (Criss is an expert for such executions).

Chris is great at the sleight of hand and his mentalism is top notch. I have been a hobby magician for a long time and he just amazes me!
Angel might be able to do SOME tricks, but a whole lot of what I’ve seen on TV is awful. Very obvious stooges, often the whole crowd seems to be in on it.
To me he’s not a magician, but an entertainer. A trick isn’t a trick if you can’t pull it off in person with a stranger. Otherwise it’s just special effects, entertainment…. like Star Wars. We know there’s no such thing as flipping Jedis and light sabers, but with skillful editing, there they are. And it IS entertaining. But never do we think, “how the hell is that done?”.
There’s one “illusion” where he stands on a table with a sheet in front, it drops, and OMG he’s gone. Except that all he did was drop down behind the table, which has a mirror in front reflecting the concrete. The damn thing is shaking visible during the trick. It should have been shot and reshot until the it looked perfect, since the final edit seems to be 80% of the show usually. Also in that trick, you can see ACTUAL, non-stooge public in the far background, and they’re clearly looking where he landed and being very amused by it. If I could read minds I’d bet they were thinking “what a boob”.
Like said above the orange is prepared, as is the egg and lemon, the lemon is prestuffed with an egg that has been punctured and emptied. To get the lemon in the orange there is a slit on the bottom. To “hatch the chick”, when his hand is out of frame he get the chick either from his picket or from a secret compartment inside the arm of his jacket, then he hides it in his palm(if you look you can see he has something in his hand when he smashes the egg), and since the egg is empty, there is no mess.
You can tell it’s fake, if you pay attention when he is cuttin the orange ( same for the lemon) he cuts less the half on it, than suddenly he opens it whole as if someone cut the whole orange.
